Supporting Trees Knoxville

Trees Knoxville’s mission is to preserve and increase the urban tree canopy on the private and public land of Knoxville and Knox County. We share the goal of many great cities across the country to grow a vital and healthy urban forest.

The Mirani Foundation was very happy to play a part in helping Trees Knoxville to beautify and rehabilitate the historic Odd Fellows Cemetery in East Knoxville. We were able to donate the funds for planting

Here is A. Katherine Bambrick Ambroziak, Associate Professor, College of Architecture and Design, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, Undergraduate Council, Past-Chair, University of Tennessee Knoxville letting the many student volunteers know about the historical significance of the Odd Fellows Cemetery and our small part in helping the restoration project. Dr. Mirani made the donation to this project in honor of his father. At a later date a plaque will be installed in memory of Kanayalal Mirani (1924-1977).
